Introduction to Sewing
Four classes per session; two hours once a week
• Session 5: Wednesday afternoons, 2:30 – 4:30 pm, March 5 - 26
• Session 6: Wednesday evenings, 5:30– 7:30 pm, March 5 - 26
• Session 7: Wednesday afternoons, 2:30 – 4:30 pm, April 2 – 23
• Session 8: Wednesday evenings, 5:30– 7:30 pm, April 2 – 23
McGuffey Art Center, Studio 8B, in the north lower level.
If you are new to sewing or need a refresher, this class is for you! This fun hands-on course covers all the basics: sewing machine setup and maintenance; sewing machine safety; tools and notions; fabric selection; preparing and cutting fabrics and other materials; creating durable and attractive stitches; and more. During the course, you will complete a couple of small projects to show off your newly honed skills. You may bring your own sewing machine or one will be provided. All sewing supplies needed for the class will be supplied.
If necessary due to illness, one make-up session is allowed.
